THE POSITION

  • Manage a book of business to review client exposures, gaps in coverage, and loss
  • Review contracts to ensure insurance program meet requirements and work with insurers to amend coverages
  • Assist with the marketing process and underwriting submissions
  • Ensure the accuracy of renewal documentation and issue manuscript policies
  • Establish appropriate procedures for claims administration/loss prevention
  • Answer client questions and handle daily requests/coverage changes
  • Supervise and train the junior staff on the accounts
  • Maintain important market relationships and participate in industry functions

MUST HAVES

  • Level 2 General Insurance license required
  • 5+ plus years in Commercial Insurance required
  • Construction or Real Estate Development experience an asset
  • Understanding of EPIC an asset
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Exceptional organizational skills
