THE EMPLOYER

  • Specialty insurance valuation firm based in Alberta – candidate ideally to be located in Calgary
  • Advisory services on claims, business interruption, construction and cyber
  • Collaborative, sophisticated team with expertise in finance and insurance

THE POSITION

  • Conduct business interruption reviews with brokers and clients
  • Support pre-loss business interruption for brokers and policy holders
  • Confidently sell and recommend the firm’s product and ability to support claims
  • Ability to engage with clients to learn their business operations from a risk and income generating perspective

MUST HAVES

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial property with a basic understanding of business interruption coverage (and an aptitude to become expert)
  • CIP designation an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • General understanding of financial statements
  • Ability to analyze policy wordings, interpret and advise on appropriate coverage
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills, a keen sense of curiosity and the ability to think outside the box
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
