THE POSITION
- Three director-level reports.
- Focus on Broker Relations, Strategy & People Leadership.
- Leads and directs a team of 35 in Western Canada.
- Strategizes with the team for commercial mid-market underwriting success, profitability, growth and operational efficiencies for multiple product lines.
- Oversees the entire underwriting process, including referral underwriting and pricing policies in accordance with strategic direction.

MUST HAVES
- Technical knowledge of commercial underwriting theories and practices.
- Leadership and management skills, demonstrating integrity and professionalism.
- Sales and marketing experience relevant to commercial insurance.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of external/internal business partners.
- Bachelor’s degree with Master’s preferred in a related discipline, or equivalent.
- CIP, ACIP or FCIP designation an asset.
- Minimum 10 years’ related work experience; 5 years management experience.
